Trek and Camping at Ratangad Fort

So this time we were fully prepared for camping , as the last camping trip was an adventure itself (Tringalwadi fort). In total we were 5 people , we travelled through our car directly up to Ratan Wadi village , we started our journey around 2 or 3 in the afternoon , purchased everything needed for cooking outside our camp and reached around 8 or 9 in the night. Just the last 14 kms of the journey is very tiring as the roads are not good.

The above pics are some of the scenic view through our journey. As soon as we reached the village , one of the villagers came to our rescue and showed us a nice place to set up our camp.

The place was near a flowing stream and was just wonderful. We started setting up our camp, divided our work for finding wood for preparing our meal. Speaking of our dinner we purchased chicken and rice and stared making simple chicken curry and steam rice , it took us around 1 and half hour to cook and finish up our dinner .

After having such a nice dinner and a good nights sleep with stars above our head we woke up around 7 in the morning , started cleaning our tent and closed our tent to start the trek to Ratangad fort. The trek to Ratangad fort is simple it would take you around 2 to 3 hours to complete this trek , but the whole climb is worth it as the scenic view from the top is wonderful. I don't remember the path to the top perfectly but it is fairly simple.

The descending path is far more simpler as it would not take more than 2 hours to descend this mountain range . After completing this trek we had our lunch in a locals house at the village. The lunch was simple and great , finally packed our bags ,boarded our car and made our way back to Mumbai.

Here's a small gallery of the Ratangad trek...
