Cycling To Ghoravadeshwar Temple and Kundmala

Ghoravadeshwar is a very small trek near Lonavala, We made it interesting by cycling up to the base of the temple. One can reach here easily by 2 wheeler or a car both by Pune or Mumbai, but we cycled up to here from Chinchwad city. We were 3 cyclists just randomly deciding different spots to cover in a single day. We started this trip at 5:30 in the morning.

We reached the base by 7, locked our cycles and started this small trek. We were already exhausted by riding the 20kms from our start point. There are two different routes to reach the top, one is by taking the stairs and other is a proper trekking route. We took the second one and by one hour we reached the top.

The temple is divided in two parts, once you reach the top and visit both the spots you can rest while enjoying the clear sky and the best view of mountains after that tiering trek. Then while descending we took the stairs route and reached the base by 8:30 am.

From there we decide to cycle to a place called Kundmala which was around 5 to 6kms from there. We reached Kundmala and had rested there besides the fast flowing stream. Many people do not now about this place, therefore it is so peaceful.

In total we cycled for more than 40Kms and covered both these spots.

While returning we took a different route and covered some more distance while cycling through the country roads around the area. Finally fully drained and no more energy left we reached the highway that will connect us to the return route and reached back by 11:30 am.
